# Kalamint

One of the earliest dedicated NFT platforms on Tezos, Kalamint presented itself as a clean, curated alternative within the emerging “Clean NFT” movement. Emphasizing energy efficiency, quality control, and a selective onboarding process, it sought to bring the discipline of the traditional gallery into the on-chain environment. Though its frontend later went quiet, the works minted there remain as early witnesses to Tezos’s arrival as an art chain.
